Fort Collins Counseling, Therapy, Counseling: Why Us?

Today's Blog Post

This is an info-educational post, reminding you to be good mental health client-consumers.

Nearly all counseling/therapy sites utilize vivid photos and deeply meaningful client-counselor emotional-therapeutic language.  There is nothing wrong with that  -- it's common within the profession, and it's designed to attract potential clients.

As you can see, our approach is different.  We believe the 'standard' therapeutic message fails to recognize and openly discuss consumer based issues.  To fill that gap, we often use the word consumer or phrase, 'client-counselor-consumer' relationship.  We do so because (lets' be real) you are paying for services with money, while making a sizable investment in your mind-body-spirit.  Clients that work with us receive plenty of therapeutic language and emotional work.  We simply wish for you:

  • To be well informed clients and consumers -- that's just common sense and good business practice.
  • To recognize that all professionals have a legal and ethical duty to properly inform you -- anything less could be misleading, and per Colorado law, potentially unlawful.

We believe you'll favor our professional approach, which emphasizes our credentials, ethical standards, and HIPPA compliant business practice.
