In 1987, Prozac was the first SSRI (i.e., selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) to be approved by the FDA (for depression).  In 1988, it was launched, and less than ten years later, Prozac achieved peak annual sales of $2.8 billion. Problem solved - nope.  Nearly three decades later depression is still a global issue - what's next for the consumer?
