Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps us feel pleasure and is involved in reinforcement.  Activities that can increase dopamine levels include:

- Aerobic exercise and strength training can increase dopamine while improving blood flow and oxygenation in the brain. 

- Meditation, yoga, or deep breathing.

- Flow states: When you're so absorbed in a task that you lose track of yourself, dopamine levels increase slowly but steadily. Examples include writing a memoir or training for a race. 

- Initially painful experiences: Cold showers and camping trips can drive up motivation and positive mood. 

-Eating sweet-tasting foods: This is a natural behavior that releases dopamine. 

- Other activities: Playing with a pet, walking in nature, reading a book, baking, grabbing coffee with a friend, or cleaning while listening to music.
